On June 20, the 2026 Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race kicked off in SIP, accompanied by three bustling markets celebrating the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival.

The Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Market brought together more than 50 intangible cultural heritage elements, including seven UNESCO-listed items and 13 nationally recognized treasures, and 18 artworks from home and abroad. A highlight was the debut of the Sui Emperor Dragon Boat Model, which drew many visitors. International volunteers added to the cultural mix with wonderful performances.



The Dragon Boat Festival Selection Market tempted food lovers with specialties from around Jiangsu province, like the Changzhou Shrimp Cakes and the Yangzhou Soup Dumplings, alongside trendy treats such as Thai longan ice and peach blossom wine. Festive snacks and creative cultural products were also on offer.


Meanwhile, the Sweet Market at 688 Arts & Fashion Space featured over 20 stalls across wedding, snack, and lifestyle zones, attracting younger crowds with an interactive stamp-collecting challenge and a romantic atmosphere.
