The launch ceremony of Sungent Neighborhood Center Public-benefit Summer Vacation Child Care Service was held at Yangchenghu Neighborhood Center in SIP on July 6. The service, offered by SIP-based Sungent Group, is aimed at helping fulfill dual-income families’ needs for child care during the two-month summer vacation.

The service is provided at two sites, with one session in July and the other in August, each lasting 20 workdays. Classes integrating moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education are provided to 60 youngsters.

At the launch ceremony, Sungent and Suzhou Chinese Consortium Holding Co Ltd received plaques from SIP State-owned Enterprises Working Committee for Care of the Next Generation, joining its regular service program for adolescents.

Several volunteers who serve in the above-mentioned classes received the letter of appointment, and the participating youngsters received stationery packs.

It is learned that child care services are available at 199 sites across SIP during this summer vacation, including intensive curriculum-based care sites, distributed activity-based sites offering flexible interest and cultural programs, and service sites embedded within enterprises.
