Recently, a table tennis tournament opened in Wanghu Community in SIP’s Weiting Sub-district, attracting many residents, young and old. The event, again, demonstrates local residents’ increasing passion for physical exercises, which should be attributed to the improving sports facilities across the sub-district along with frequent, diverse activities held throughout the year.

Weiting Sub-district has enhanced efforts in recent years to improve cultural and sports facilities and upgrade related services. The sub-district now has 181 fitness spots with 1,360 devices for exercises.

There are 36 art troupes composed of local amateur performers, who participate in various events in and outside the sub-district.

Communities in the sub-district hold various competitions such as open-air fitness dancing contests and fun sports meets on a regular basis for local residents to showcase their talents in sports and enhance interactions with each other.
Thanks to the efforts mentioned above, the sub-district’s residents have developed strong interests in physical exercises. Its football team even garnered the second place in the 1st SIP Football Super League.
