The Jinji Lake Sub-district Office Hudong Service Center has long focused on helping elderly and disadvantaged residents resolve difficulties. Three recent cases illustrate its warm agent-like service approach.

When an elderly couple from outside Suzhou encountered a difficulty in drug purchase through individual medical insurance accounts, staff at the center helped them apply via the designated WeChat mini-program. After two failed attempts due to system instability, the staff downloaded the APP, resubmitted all documents, and then confirmed success by phone.

In the second case, an elderly couple found that their senior allowance stopped after they remade household registration in SIP. The staff at the center contacted all authorities concerned, verified the transfer dates and procedures, and helped solve the problem.
The third case is about Ms. He, a wheelchair user who received the disability care subsidy with help from the center’s staff. In the process, a staff member from the center visited the woman several times to explain related policies, help fill application forms and tell her the result.
