Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District and SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone jointly organized an event on Sept 15 to facilitate cooperation among optical communications enterprises in the district and the zone in industrial development and technological innovation and promote industry-university-research collaboration. The event attracted the representatives from a number of research institutions and enterprises.

The participants first visited the Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research, Suzhou Research Institute for Future Industries, and the Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics (SINANO) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, learning about their R&D projects and latest achievements.

During the later meeting, several research teams presented their projects, covering advanced laser optoelectronic technology, high-speed BERT platform for AI computing interconnect, Micro-LED light source devices for short-reach optical interconnect, and flexible high-efficiency multijunction solar cells for aerospace applications.
