The workshops of Glanbia Nutritionals (Suzhou) Co Ltd, Glanbia Nutritionals’ branch in SIP, has been in full operation this month, with sports drinks continuously produced, packaged and examined for export to 14 countries and regions in Asia and Europe.

Glanbia Nutritionals is a global leader in nutrition and supplement manufacturing. Headquartered in Ireland, it focuses on research and production of science-based nutritional ingredients. Glanbia Nutritionals (Suzhou) was established in SIP in 2006 as the Glanbia Nutritionals’ first manufacturing base in Asia. So far, this site has evolved into the group’s Asia-Pacific headquarters, integrating manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and procurement.

“We have achieved a fast growth in the free trade zone in SIP, and are now building our second plant in the park,” said Arnaud Schuh, CEO of Health and Nutrition at Glanbia. Arnaud added that SIP Customs’ precise support has enhanced Glanbia’s determination to expand investment in SIP.

SIP Customs has tailored a service pack for Glanbia, encompassing guidance for customs declaration and quality control, assistance in responding to technical barriers to trade, and facilitation measures for customs inspections, etc., helping ensure efficient circulation of goods.
