Rosti China’s new ISO Class 8 (Class 100,000) medical cleanroom came into operation in SIP on Apr 22. It marks a strategic step that Rosti has made to expand its presence in the Chinese medical market, and is expected to help advance precision manufacturing in SIP.

Headquartered in Sweden, Rosti is a global leader in precision plastic injection molding and assembly. It set up a branch in SIP in 2006 as its only subsidiary in China and one of its largest production bases globally. In recent years, this branch has established a digital innovation lab and an electronics lab to accelerate customer product design validation and time-to-market.

The new cleanroom covers a total area of 500 square meters, of which 300 square meters are dedicated to precision injection molding. Built over five months with high standards, it provides a stable and reliable ISO Class 8 environment and has achieved technological breakthroughs in digitalization and intelligent manufacturing.

Relying on Rosti’s deep expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities, the new cleanroom will be able to undertake large-scale production of large-size, multi-impression precision injection-molded medical parts and medical optical components.
