SIP’s GDP reached RMB206.669 billion in the first half of the year, representing a year-on-year growth of 6.2% at constant prices. By industry, the added value of the secondary industry reached RMB92.85 billion, up 7.3% YoY, and that of the tertiary industry recorded RMB113.819 billion, up 5.3% YoY.


The industrial economy accelerated growth. The added value of industrial enterprises above the designated size grew by 11.3% YoY, and the total output value of these enterprises reached RMB380.023 billion, up 8.1% YoY, with the growth rate accelerating by 0.7 percentage points compared with the first quarter.

The service sector maintains steady growth. The added value of this sector grew by 5.3% YoY. The total added value of producer services accounted for 74.5% of the added value of the whole sector, up 4 percentage points from the first quarter.

The consumer market thrived. The total retail sales of consumer goods reached RMB48.725 billion, up 7.2% YoY. Cultural tourism consumption remained robust. During the first six months of this year, SIP received a cumulative total of 18.6 million visitors, an increase of 6.8% YoY.

Fixed asset investment remains steady. In the first half of the year, SIP recorded fixed asset investment of RMB39.171 billion, up 10.8% YoY. Industrial investment reached RMB12.45 billion, growing by 5.5% YoY.

Innovation momentum continues to step up. The output value of high-tech enterprises above the designated size grew by 15.3% YoY, and the output value of high-tech industries accounted for 77.3% of the total output value of industrial enterprises above the designated size, up 0.9 percentage points from the first quarter.

Residents’ income steadily rose. The per capita disposable income of urban residents reached RMB54,128, up 4.3% YoY. SIP’s total employed population stood at 909,000, of which 611,900 were employed in the tertiary industry, indicating a steady upward trend in employment.
