Suzhou Yutec Optoelectronics Co Ltd, an SIP-based company specializing in lighting modules and electronic controllers for vehicles, laid the foundation stone for its R&D and manufacturing headquarters base in SIP on Aug 18.

Founded in SIP in 2012, Suzhou Yutec Optoelectronics has enhanced efforts to develop smart automotive lighting systems in recent years. The new facility, with a total investment of RMB160 million, will include an R&D center, a testing and verification center and a smart factory to form a full operation chain integrating R&D, pilot scale test, mass production and delivery.

The project will be capable of producing 2 million sets of intelligent vehicle lighting and optoelectronic products annually, with annual sales estimated at RMB750 to 800 million.
