Recently, new progress has been achieved in the construction of Suzhou East Railway Station in SIP. In late July, the excavation of a 40.23-meter foundation pit was completed, marking the resolution of the biggest challenge in deep open-cut foundation pit construction in Jiangsu province. In the middle of this month, the construction of a comprehensive energy center, a core component of the Suzhou East Railway Station hub, was approved.

The railway station, serving a number of high-speed railway and inter-city railway lines and connecting with local metro and bus systems, will become an important comprehensive transportation hub in Suzhou. Commercial facilities, hotel, offices, residences and service facilities will be built around it following the concept of transit-oriented development (TOD).

It is worth mentioning that the comprehensive energy center will replace the traditional decentralized energy supply model with a centralized and integrated one to meet multiple needs for high-quality, clean energy within the hub.
