The 7th China Youth Sculpture Biennale ? Jinji Lake, Suzhou opened at Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block in SIP on June 28. Themed “Wisdom Sculpts Jiangnan, Charm Ushers in a New Chapter”, the exhibition brings together young sculptors to blend Jiangnan’s cultural heritage with contemporary spirit and digital aesthetics, creating an immersive public art experience. It will run till Aug 16, with free admission for all.

Sponsored by Sungent Harmony Development, and co-organized by the Jiangsu Sculptors Association, Nanjing University’s School of Arts and Sculpture Research Institute, and Harmony Art Center, the biennale serves as a platform bridging academic excellence, youthful energy, and public engagement.

The exhibition features three progressive sections: “Cultural Heritage ? Timeless Charm”, “Era ? Innovation”, and “Smart Sculpture ? Future”, guiding visitors to explore traditional Chinese art and culture, the Chinese spirit in the new era, and the use of advanced technology in art creation.

Approximately 150 works are displayed across Ligongdi’s waterfront streets, including Wu Weishan’s classic piece “Da Yu” alongside emerging talents’ creations.
