The Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park ? Lakeside Drama Festival opened at Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort in SIP on July 10, and will last till Aug 23, offering visitors an immersive cultural tourism extravaganza that combines opera co-creation, leisure and entertainment, and nighttime revelry.

The biggest highlight of the festival is the gathering of renowned opera troupes from both north and south China. Among them, the wildly popular Wu Opera masterpiece “Sun Wukong’s Three Battles against the White-Bone Demon” masterfully blends mythology with traditional opera performance, while the passionate Qinqiang Opera is celebrated for its rustic and bold vocals, distinct regional characteristics, and intense emotional expression.

The festival also brings together a host of folk art experts with their breathtaking performances such as high-altitude pole climbing, jar balancing, and impersonation shows.

The Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park has upgraded its regular entertainment projects and services, devised weekly themed interactive sessions where performers interact with visitors closely, and added misting systems, shaded rest areas and other amenities to create a cool, comfortable, and convenient environment for all participants.
