As breeze swept across the rice fields of The Archaeological Site Park of Caoxieshan on the last evening of August, the two-month 2026 Caoxieshan Summer Night Live came to a successful conclusion.

After three years of development, the Caoxieshan Summer Night Live has become a highly recognizable nighttime cultural program in SIP. The 2026 edition comprised 15 events which, held in July and August, included 8 Time Concerts and 7 Starlight Screenings, attracting nearly 6,000 visitors, with the highest single-event attendance exceeding 1,300. These activities effectively energized the heritage park at night.

Many participants felt as relaxed as if they were at home. Some even went on the stage to sing a song, while others spontaneously formed cheer squads, singing and swaying along with the music. During the decibel PK, the crowd roared thunderously, expressing their most sincere appreciation with applause and cheers.

The 2026 edition featured new tries in both programs and settings. A dance session, inspired by scenes of ancient people celebrating harvest in fields, was introduced for the first time.

Moreover, the performance stage was moved for the first time to the central lawn of the rice fields. With layered rice waves as the backdrop, the silhouette of the heritage exhibition hall in the distance, and trains speeding past behind, the urban bustle and natural openness blended perfectly.
